Skins Prevail Against Defending Super Bowl Champs

No thanks to the first-teamers, the Redskins were down 10-3 by the first half.  QB Jason Campbell completed only 1 for 7 passes for only 10 yards.  With this being his last year before becoming a free agent, he's either just not capable or just waiting until regular season starts?  Is it time to panic?  Almost.

The second half brought in 4th-string rookie QB Chase Daniels (who was an undrafted rookie) who completed 6/8 passes for 58 yards and 2 TD passes, which gave the Redskins their first preseason win.

Another standout player from the game was rookie DE Brian Orakpo who recorded 4 tackles.  The defense only allowed 238 yards in total (139 of which were passing yards).

The QB situation on this team is their number one issue.  Jim Zorn has been trying to mould Jason Campbell into his protégé since last season, but Campbell has not improved and is not impressive.  It'll be interesting to see who will take the 2nd and 3rd string spot on this team once the regular season starts.

The Skins next preseason test is against the New England Patriots on Friday, August 28th at 8 PM.
